Carmela Ross

Born January 6, 1962 in the City of Colon, Republic of Panama, Carmela speaks both Spanish and English. She was married in 1979 to former Secretary of Juvenile Justice for the State of Florida, Calvin Ross. They have four children, Raquel, Daniel, Gabriel and Crystal.

Carmela received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida International University in 1985.

Carmela received the International Spanish Christian Music Award "GOLDEN HARP 88" for her recording "Solamente Dios".

She has been guest soloist on many TV programs such as: "Christians in our Community", aired locally in Miami, Florida on channel 10 (ABC); Spanish "PTL Club", aired internationally through Central and South America and the U.S.A.; the local South Florida "Praise The Lord" and nationally aired "Hay Poder" programs aired on TBN; "Miami Voice", aired on Cable TV.

Carmela was featured soloist at the annual Aglow Sectional Convention held in Miami Beach, Florida.

Carmela is the former lead singer for the Contemporary Christian Band "Rhema".

Numerous opportunities have been given to share the Gospel through music and testimony at several Christian coffeehouses, including: The Light Club, Cornerstone Cafe, The Upper Room, The Saturday Night Place, The Fellowship, and others.
